The splinter faction theory is a possibility as well. I must say.. this is a well-timed allegation which has also deflected to a certain extent, the allegations by Raja Putra against Najib and his wife in relation to the murder case of the Mongolian model.
It's a pathetic act of desperation designed to derail Anwar's strategy to climb the ladder.

It seems very easy for a ruling party to get rid of an opponent. They are the script writer, movie director, police, judge, anti-corruption authority. Even if the opponent has strong support from the people, there is still a way to get rid of him.
Umno is very rich, they can pay 1 million to a person to be a spy, then lodge a police report, then ask the judge to jail the person. finish.
That's why now the PKR has Wan Azizah as leader, coz no one can accuse her involving in sodomy. Really an advantage. -

As compared with Mahathir Anwar clearly is more approachable to all races and all ordinary people.
He has less self-importance and obsessions and is open to working with other races like the Chinese and non-Malay.
A new multi-racial leader is needed at this time to unite the whole country the real secret of success in any age.
He would make a better leader as his disposition is more cosmopolitan and less of the ultra type of Malay who would brandish the threatening kris or religion in party meeting to intimidate other races. -

2 yellow cards for failure to defend the 2/3 majority in election.
