Few years back,a survey put SG as one of the worst energy users.
The arms chair analyist just take all the oil refined by SG refinery
used by SG!!
May be they dunt know SG has been and still is world
no.3 refinery center.SG cant consume some 900,000
barrel per day refined by her.Recent report in ST put local
consumption at 100,000 bpd only.
Therefore,i dunt trust all those surveys.
BTW,80% of generators powered by natural gas.
It is damn wrong if you dunt calculate all these power
consumptions.
My notes to each of the factors of this

already show my seriousness to this Index.
Not because the ranking of SG.
This Index put much weights on findings of
other Index---Blind leads Blind.
Talking about Environment.
SG was forced to use urban areas as water catchments
for few decades.We are going to use two--third
of land area for catchment in 2 years times,
and going to use 90% in few years.
Do they know this?
Is this a great success story for a small country to solve
water problems?
No need to import water in few years,if we choose
to do so.Dunt close the tap without SG consent.
Otherwise,in diplomatic
term,there will be SERIOUS CONSQUENCE.

I thought we were discussing about Healthcare? Why has this discussion been diverted to other issues? Have you conceded that the Healthcare in Australia is indeed better than Singapore, that's why you are switching to another topic? Can we finish the discussion on healthcare first before you scatter your brain all over the other topics?I did some research on the World Health Organisation (WHO) website, I came up with further data from WHO to substantiate my claim that elderlies in Singapore who can't afford treatment (could also be due to incompetent doctors), made up a higher mortality rate as compared to Australia. The higher deaths in patient numbers from these age groups 45-54 years, 55-64 years, 65-74 years and 75+ years, because of their inability to afford healthcare, avoided going to the hospitals to seek treatment, resulted in their deaths. Less patients for doctors to handle, that's why less waiting time for hospitals in Singapore.
That's why it doesn't make sense if you say Australia with her 247 doctors per 100,000 population has longer waiting time than Singapore with her 140 doctors per 100,000 population. It's like telling us that 140 workers can produce 100,000 computers much faster than 247 workers.

For the age groups from 45 to 75+ (all sexes), there is a higher rate of deaths from Singapore than Australia. The death of elderlies in Singapore resulted in less patient numbers, therefore the patient number decreases, making patient to doctor ratio lower, resulting in shorter waiting times when compared to Australia.
So how good exactly is the Singapore healthcare as compared to our Australians counterparts?

With more surface area being used as water catchment and storage - the noisylion better get used to the idea of throwing away his cage, and learn to perch in a pigeon box that will be 60 storeys off the ground.
With such taller buildings constructed, the noisylion will have to sing louder for his wages that will be needed to pay for even higher residential prices, as the costs will surely be higher in construction and providing of services to such high levels.
At such high levels, high speed lifts and water pumps will be needed that will increase electrical consumption; and new fire safety and security investments will be needed to cope with a new set of high rise incidences.
Surely, there will be more social and psychological stresses with living in the skies at higher then sky prices being encountered.
Will the 6.5 million hoped for population size be achieved to distribute the total infrastructural cost to a wider population base ?
