Soeharto's regime fell because of the student protest. A few of them were killed in the process. Now our current politician every single one of them owes those students for their career in politics but it seems that almost every one of them has forgotten this important fact that democracy was brought not by the sweat and blood of our current politician but by the sweat and blood of idealist students.
Now the current government is going hard on the students protest again. It seems in a way we have reverted back to the Soeharto's regime. Resorting to violence to crack down protest.
Anyway Munir a well known human rights activist died during the term of the current government. The court proceeding is shameful too.

PAP do not allow people to have street protest. They control TCS and act as a propagada to the public. Sux government. Next Election Beware, Downfall might befall you. Democratic Include FREEDOM OF SPEECH and STREET PROTEST.

Singapore is too small that it allows autocratic and dictatorship to rule easily.
And LKY family's 10 billion dollar wealth is a major factor not only in Singapore but also in the region including Indonesia. LKY is very respected here from my experience. LKY's hated person becomes Indonesia's hated person as well. LKY can even break family bonds.
It seems that LKY regime has spread a trend that evil is superior and lies are a powerful tool to bend the truth. So many people turned a jerk. Trying to imitate his beloved master. It seems that many people think that being evil is actually a privilege.

I do not wish to be rude but what state propaganda are you talking about? Personally, I have much respect for Dr Sun Yat Sen and sees him as the Father of Modern China. The news in Singapore bores me at times if you like to know.

I have respect for Dr Sun Yat Sen but not our local politicians. -
I must say, according to my history textbook, I must say I also think that sun yet sun is a worthy leader. He does not fight wars, he does not jail political opponents.
But if I may say as well, his rule is not really long.
