Funny thing about Singaporeans nowadays is, they tend to get overly arrogant when they have been educated, fed, enjoyed their lifestyle, then it suddenly occurred to them that they must be more assertive of their rights and start pointing fingers at people who made it possible for them to be even arrogant in the first place.
If not for Lee Kuan Yew's planning for Singapore's future, do you think you can even enjoy NEWater? I think everyone would be drinking longkang's water like rum and celebrating Malaysia's national day instead of Singapore's national day.

It is my belief that Lee Kuan Yew's authoritarian rule and education policies killed off chinese business dynamism in Singapore.
So, from this point of view, we can say that Lee Kuan Yew crippled off the economic power, morale and mentality in Singapore.
Now is the kiasu kiasee mentality, probably influenced by Lee Kuan Yew himself.

since i already serve my national service and so do most of the people here too. so when war come, we go over to the enemies?

Ya...fuckers.....sometimes people just need to get their argument right. You won't be replaced by FTs if you haven't been slacking off in your studies right? Well, if you didn't study hard enough during your studying days, shouldn't you make way for FTs who couldn't afford to have fun like you and have to study harder than you when they were a student just like you?

Cos if Singapore didn't have Lee Kuan Yew, you could be learning Bahasa Melayu as your first language other than your native tongue(mandarin), and elective language(english).
