anyone can notice the parallellism here? Thats really strange that 1000 ppl every year migrate.
last i know that this scenario is for 3rd world countries like Sri Lanka, Africa where they come to Australia to escape their hopeless fate in their homelands. These people could not go back due to various reasons like civil war, poverty ect. and they stay in australia to get an education and a job.
But Singapore, a first world country?! . 1st world country, 3rd world situation. Uniquely Singapore.
Singaporeans are the new "refugees", abeit a higher class one, educated and skilled in other countries.
There are other parallellesims as well which such as the Death Penalty and Caning which resembles 3rd world countries.

The morons ruling this tiny red dot have made it a joke, made themselves jokers of the century.
First world country, chewing gum is not allowed, as if the people in this country are all untamed kids not allowed to chew chewing gum. First world country where only ministers are allowed to have pay increment while the people have to accept no raise in salary (suggested by the indian snake) to continue to cope with the high inflation. First world country for the minister mentor to say there is a letter from IBA praising Singapore's judiciary when IBA denied they sent no letter.
First world country where all that the ministers' doings and sayings are perfect without flaws and people are not to question their credibility. BY questioning the credibility of the oldest leader in the ruling party will subject one to receive law suit from him. 
First world country whereby the leader always do stuff to please themselves rather than listen to the people and implement policies to solve problems. First world country that the government keep taking money from the people. First world country whereby the country are run like business by the first world ministers. First world country whereby PM tells the people to donate to help the poor (pushing his responsibility). First world country, PM gives empty promise to raise GST to help the poor.The list goes on and on - there is no wonder many want to migrate and some have migrated.

Our crime rates quite low, i feel safe at night. People quite scared of the law here.
But if more foreginers come in, crime rates might increase. Anyone have crime rates statistics over the years?

Crime rate used to be low, no any more now. The rate has gone up. Just read the papers you will know. In my neighbourhood, crime rate has increased. NPP has sent letters to all residents in the area to be cautious. Recently someone got robbed again.

At least there is no abusive tyrant trying to kill then defame people that he doesn't like to be crazy.
It's not a perfect world but at least there is no one tyrant ruling the country. The president won the election fairly from the mandate of the people.
While whoever ruling Singapore now do so not because he had won anything. The only reason he is in power is because there is no competition. Shame!
