Said MFA spokesman Yew Lai Ler, “We are deeply concerned about Malaysia’s allegations and we want to do our best to help them. So we’ve asked the World Health Organisation to investigate Malaysia, because we think they’re showing symptoms of hypersensitivity.”
Datuk Kepala responded: “Alamak, now Singapore wants to discuss our medical problems in front of the whole world. I ask you: are they being insensitive or not?”

The general Malaysian Citizens of Orang Asli, Iban, Kadazan, Eurasian, Indian, Chinese, and other minority groups certainly have no interests to think that Singapore wants war with Malaysia.
Also the larger Malay Bumi citizens are also disinterested in the various acrimonious issues between Malaysia and Singapore.
From these various racial groups, it is a minority number that is connected to Politically Active Groups, who will work with the Politically Active Bumis, to capitalize on the notion of War being instigated by Singapore.
It is the Politically Active Followers being manipulated by their Political Leaders to capitalize on "Fear Issues" to move the ground, and to benefit from the "Fear Factor" to galvanize their own position. -

btw no one ( i mean govt official ) in malaysia actually firectly say that singapore is wanting war....but they jolly well know that if they will to threaten us further especially wif water , SIngapore will bite back. So to deter this and also to give their pple confidence....govt have a big Hu_Ha on how r they going to prevent a pre-emptive strike from country X.
So after the M.govt make such a public statement on countering a blah blah , once again ( history rewrites ) their cock-up FM flare everything up on ''SINGAPORE IS WANTING TO WACK US''..Mati~! mati~! , then once again the viewers who listen to it , all get flare up too. Then as u know most of them are jobless , so they go the Singapore High Commission to protest ( btw , they are damm proud of their protest leh ). -
They are always the emotional bunch, too bad for them, they're are only hurting themselves because the biggest lies are the ones they choose to listen too to soothe their souls for the moment instead of dealing with the real problem. I wonder why all the problems they have are caused by outsiders instead of themselves. The utter spoit brat country, and it's name starts with M.

Here's my 2 cents. You definitely know when things have been far too peaceful when the citizens of 2 countries get so worked up over a large piece of rock. I've been reading the posts here (especially those in the military section) and i cant help but wonder why everyone is so ready to "shed blood" and fight tooth and nail over a rock...
Do u honestly think anyone is going to war over this? I mean honestly...we've all got better things to do. Just let the politicians settle things and after awhile they'll all go back to bickering about something new... -

My greatest wish is that everyone would see that in the grand scheme of things this is trivial... Let the politicians talk of disagreement and anger. Their talk does not affect how we live out our lives does it? It's really sad to see people so angry with each other...over nothing. -
i may be wrong... but i think pedra branca is quite important to the rsn... and its not a question on whether its worth it or not.. its a question of our sovereignity. Sure sovereignty is a great thing, i totally agree. What i dont get is why are the citizens of BOTH countries so pissed off with each other. There's no point to this hate( and i do see a lot of hate).
The politicians will sort everything out, with or without hate. Thats the whole reason they are there. So i say let them talk and posture all they want. You hating the other isnt going to get things done any quicker and it just causes a lot of bad karma. Its just like i said, peace makes people complacent. Its scary how the more peaceful things are, the more people seem to like the idea of fighting and hate. Its almost as if men were programmed to turn on each other if it can be done without pain... Yeah, its a cultural thing really...combined with their almost laughable attempts to enforce anti corruption laws. Its so prevalent because its almost the only way of getting things done. In a large number of situations it IS the only way of getting things done.
