leaving other nations= nation is bad and lously
leaving singapore= the leavers are stupid
leaving singapore to go to other nations= leavers are downright stupid, nation is extremely lously, quote 3000 media articles out of context to "prove" point.
leaving other nations to come to singapore= singapore boleh, ignores larger social issues raised by such immigration.
A simplistic, shallow but not surprising method of argument that we see from lionnoisy.

And of course, lionnoisy totally leaves out issues like how the "attractiveness" of Singapore to FT, such as stability and the like is actually borne out in a large part by the citizen population who have to do things like serve NS and pay the bill for certain packages that make Singapore attractive to FT.
Even if those "13,000" stay, do you think they are content to move down to the level of the common citizen and foot the bill for other FTs? Or will they simply move on when the best of the fruit are gone?
Basically put, even our government is not as silly as lionnoisy to believe in our own hype. As our own government has stated that importing people is NOT a long term solution to our demographic issues. Creating a Singaporean people and nation is more then just getting people to get a pink IC.
