Are u afraid of growing old in singapore?

The thought scares me. I may end up like the cardboard and tin collecting old people i see almost everyday, and difficulty of finding wive and starting a family due to the materialistic girls..nightmare.

Trust me, try not to grow old if possible..... definitely not here, not now.....

You must make lots and lots of money when you are young cos if you're rich growing old in Sg is not a problem at all! -
either i die before i grow old or i eat anti ageing pills that allow me to continue working and earning my keep. Although there is such a thing as cpf, i believe that one day SGD will depreciate in value until its 100 times less than it used to be. so im not taking any chances.

Yeah, agree with you. Most of our CPF is used to pay for HDB flat anyway. By the time we retire, the CPF in our a/c would be peanut to last thru our old age.
Also, the the forever inflating HDB flat, it would be real funny but sad the day we see 3 rm HDB flat going at S$1 million. -
Yes, scary to grow old here. While you can, earn and save much now or find opportunity to migrate to countries whereby there are welfare of taking care of the old.
Foresee that, many will stuck with their money in the annuity while they grow old in Singapore. Annuity money is a gift to Pay and Pay unless you live long enough to withdraw it. Reminder, the implementation of buying annuity starts 2013.
