Fear, hate, anger are nature emotions in human and most other living creature. It got nothing to do with WTH, the dark side!!. The only different is the application of it, use it to our advantages, if you sense danger and fear of getting harm, you should evade it, good. If you hate someone or something, you should not go near or socialise with it, if you are angry over something, shout it out to release your inner discomfort so that people know where you stand.It does not lead to suffering as you said, if use wisely, it lead to more understanding and better life control.
