If by the time retire, same old policies, then will hope to retire somewhere else ba.
But at the moment, I would prefer to work overseas.

This intention has been in the minds of pure bred Singaporeans for a long time. More so when announced that we can't enjoy our CPF at retirement. Now its "what retirement?" , "what CPF"... CPF will be depleted once the baby-boomers reach retirement thats why this policy.
Problem here is not that nobody wants to speak up...its just that nobody wants to be charged for defamation, illegal gathering, demonstrations, etc...
Very siong living here. Looks like its headed for only the rich & since there are so many, its like indirectly telling the others to get out.

Survey is reflecting the reality of what the people want. It is so true about the young twenties group that they want migration. Majority of the people from late teens to early twenties I speak to talk about - study, work, migrate overseas. One poly grad was so happy that he got scholarship from an overseas company to study in UK and thereafter work for them and will settle down in UK and never want to come back live here. he will be making arrangement for his mum to migrate to UK.
Singapore is no longer a place for the born and bred. Sad.
I am hoping to retire overseas.

Marry a foreigner, tell them don't throw their citizenship, make your dough here & stinge like anything till u reach ur target, collect your bundle & savings after dumping status here, move to spouse country....taadaaaaa..... Never say die!

Sure sure, lower the property tax rate but increase the Annual Value of the property, in the end after taking into effect the lower property tax rate, you still end up paying more for property tax.

A friend of mine did it and end up divorce. She forced her ex husband to marry her for the sake of getting PR. -

And good news when its abt government policy or ratings? Media is only a PUPPET la. It is a medium to plaster our minds with fear. Hear the real stories & u'll know that the number of successful marriages is abundant. These "cheated' ones don't even make 5% of the total.

Have you been to China before ?
Some friends left for China and never come back.. but they only work for foreign companies and getting expat pay.
They say there.. everything also have.. at a fraction of the cost in Sg.
You just need to be more street wise lah.
And like every country.. the subsidised/welfare system is only for the natives.

Why would they marry you if they want to stay in their own land ? They have thousands of men to choose from.

They come back after the contract expired.With the unreasonable constant rising costs in Singapore, those Singaporeans working overseas in the third world countries are enjoying the low cost of living there. My neighbour's son was very reluctant to go Vietnam when the company sent him there. Now that he is there for 5 years, he does not want to come back. With his pay and the low cost of living there, he employs 2 maids and married a Vietnamese lady. He told his mum that he is enjoying the low costs of living there and Singapore is just too expensive.

because SGmen want to marry down mah, and we sg women want to marry up, so these China brides are usually less wealthy and educated, same goes to their men, so how can we marry them. Unless he is Yao Ming, lin da or hu chingtou..or some mainland tycoons..then...yuppie!!!! -
