Are the people unhappy with their country at the moment? Or are the people unhappy with the government at the moment?
33% are the percentage of voters who voted against the current ruling political party. It does not represents the percentage of voters who are unhappy with their own country.
By the way, Abraham Lincoln is not GOD. He is just a dead man.
Isn't this what I said, and you tell me wrong -.-"
Just that I never put the words that they are "running the country" -.-"
Nor did I put that they "are people" -.-"
Maybe you want to tell me I was wrong for not saying the above 2???
Government are people who are RUNNING THE COUNTRY FOR IT'S PEOPLE.
the basic requirement of the government is "for the people"

I didn't say they represent -.-"
If quite a number of people are not happy (say 33%), then do you think the government has succeeded in it's fulfilling it's basic requirement?
I use an "if" situation to ask a question. Anything wrong with it???? I put 33% because I evaluated it from 1/3.
I apologize for the coincidence with the voting results. Like that happy? -.-"

What I meant is that government are more concerned about the development of the country than it's people, because that was their primarily purpose as a government to exist.
If only people were unhappy with our country, Singapore, and not the government.
I'm happy with my country, Singapore. It's beautiful to live in compared to many other countries around the world.
But I'm not particularly happy with it's people.

The final goal of developing the country is also for the people what.... -.-"

You can't feel condemned if you have more faith in yourselves than your society, even if the society chooses to condemn you. You can't feel inferior unless you have granted others the rights to make you feel inferior. You will ultimately decide if you want to be hurt by others or not...it is all up to you as a woman.
If my hubby decides to run away with another woman who can give him better happiness than me, then I will let him go to be with his better happiness. I will do so simply if only I still loves him. If I don't love him anymore, then he might have an accident before that happens.
You've missed jojo's point completely. I'll give you the benefit of a doubt and let you figure it out yourself first.
And if the accident investigation points back to you, be prepared to spend some time in the slammer.

The basics of a government is to grow and improve the country's economics/social growth internally and externally. To do so, they must provide a safe, stable, peaceful environment for it's citizens to multiply. Simple enough?
So...tell me if Singapore does not fulfill the above standards, and our Singapore dollars isn't the strongest amongst our region. At least we don't need to sell our women to other countries as maids and mail-order-brides.
People questions things that they don't understand and that is perfectly understandable. But have they wondered why most of those questions came from our generation? It's because people in our generation have not had the opportunity to grow up or lived in a country in turmoil, they have never been through a war (and those retards thinks war is in fact a cool thing), they do not know hardship and they have been spoon-fed throughout their lives.
People in our generation simply has lost the initiative to seek out answers on their own, they EXPECTS government to feed them with obvious answers to their retarded questions. They should take a look around them and around the world (EARTH...not Singapore ok?), then maybe one day they might grow wiser?
If the current government are weaklings, it will show on the country's performance and our dollars will be the weakest in our region. Then these people will eventually get to fulfill their ultimate aim to have a change of government.
But if our current government are doing their jobs well, then would you bothered to join the retarded group cos you think it's the norm and it just seems right for you to do so?
Some people think the glass is half full.
Some people think the glass is half empty.
Some people not sure what to think .. they think the glass is not a glass.
Some people wants to rest on their laurels..look at what we have compare to the poor.
Some people wants to push for better future.. look at what we have not yet achieve...
Some people.. thinks life is too short to think about such things.
The older generations emerged from poor circumstances. To them.. what we have today.. was beyond their imagination...back in their younger days. Many probably believes they have come that far.. it's hardly possible to go any further.
The younger generations.. believes.. that life can be better. Because we are new.. there's more to it than what is now.
Can the old generation convince the younger generation.. that this is as far as we can go ? Unlikely.
Let's move on.
What kind of political system have we ?

Our political system is simple, there lies the founder LKY, his son LHL as PM, follow by other ministers and MPs to perms sec and civil servant. Whatever they implemented, we will grumbles, post here and there, f**k there and here,...then we grumble again and again and...no more grumbling liao...follow what was implemented...then quiet now. Then they decided to implement another new set of policies, and we start to grumbles and F**k here and there again..then we quiet now..then all follow..and forget ...and then they implement another new set of policies...again the cycle goes on and on...so simple for them to govern, no demostration, no riot, no rebellions, all posting and grumbling only.

Agree?
Given the rising age of brides in Singapore, 30k is about right to pay for the IVF treatment. Good for doctors.
Homosexuals and singles will have to pay alot of taxes to fund your plan :)

It's good to know that you're especially concerned for the Homosexuals community.
Singles can always marry to benefit from the plan...but I don't think Homosexuals are included.
Would you like to fight for their rights on their behalf?

How can you say that?
I'm only just more clever than you....just a lot more clever than you lor.
It would be interesting to see how many people will actually follow you to go away from Singapore.
But my guess is....not enough to worry anyone else and you might not be missed.

It's good that oxford mushroom presents his homosexual perspective on the issue, at least we are not narrow minded and fail to take his cause into consideration. ![]()
