1) INTRODUCE EMPLOYMENT RIGHTS of Citizens
a) min wage or higher salary
b) Tax relief for companies and organisations wiling to employ the above group.
More PRs or work permit holder will try to get citizenship compared to those on work permit or PR.
More people for NS
how about importing boys to do NS for u all?
happy rite?
It will be much simpler to curb the influx of foreigners... no permits no Fts.. Only grant permit on very undersupply jobs... Like...? i dunno... coffee shop handlers and factory workers are not undersupply.

Let me put it in simple terms for you what the above means:
A. Minimum wage or higher salary - a higher salary means increased overhead costs for a company which seeks profit. It also hits the smaller local companies. Who do you think they will pass the costs on to? Tax relief is going to do sh*t all for small to medium enterprises. So when your grocery prices go up and hawker food prices shoot up, don't come crying.
Furthermore on a global scale, why would a company want to invest in a small country with no resources except human and a natural harbour when they can go to China or India to LOWER their costs resulting in a HIGHER profit?
Then with higher salaries, it means the older and more experienced workers will be paid more. To cut them off, the companies will target them for retrenchment because older workers do cost more in terms of using benefits (like health/dental). Your older workers will be discriminated again. To protect themselves, they do not teach the next generation of workers and the more experienced ones with a nest egg will try to migrate out or retire without passing their skills onto the next generation.
So how would you tackle this problem?
B. Do you think most of the PRs will stick around for citizenship? Some are jumping to other countries like UK ./USA/Australia. Singapore acts as a stopover for them.
