What if the collective iintelligence has an average IQ of 80 and below . How ? In the future.. there is gonna be more stupid people then smart people. ;p Sg is a pure example of.. a country.. that will go extinct in a couple hundred years. I would say that brainwashed public is greatly influenced by state propaganda while well informed public has a certain level of awareness of what is going on in the state, a certain level of knowledge of state affairs.
A certain level of having one's opinion about policies.

More favourable for the people of the country. However, this is not impossible. It will take years and years to have this in place. The mindset of the people/voters have to change as first step to allow this in future.

collective intelligence IS superior to a single individual's intelligence insomuch that the individuals that makes up the collective operate a selfless platform for the betterment of the group.
unfortunately, i have a very pessimistic view that selfless individuals are far and few in between.
especially so in the world of politics where it's survival of the fittest (and probably the most ruthless). even if there is no ruthlessness involved, the egos of the individuals will get in the way.

you meet a person who is full of praise for the ruling party: do you conclude that he is brainwashed or well-informed?
you meet another person who has nothing good to say about the same party: do you conclude that he is brainwashed or well-informed?
you see, whether we define some ELSE as brainwashed or well-informed is greatly determined by where we stand and what we are inclined to support.
