seriously, mainstream media eg TV print and radio do not actively praise PAP. Yes, the news are a little bias.... but you do not get propaganda messages in between TV commercials.by all thoughts and intents... mainstream media do no propagate government policies.... news propagate government policies....
it's the NEWS that is where propaganda is.... not mainstream media per se.
it's not like they have PAP hour each night, or suddenly everyday at lunch time you hear Hsien Loong's voice over the PA system.

Yes, I think there was some confusion there.
If a media is under control of PAP regime and it follows the agenda of PAP regime, I do not find anything wrong with that.
For example if SDP website spreads SDP propaganda. That is okay.
What I object to is when all medium is under control of PAP regime to spread their propaganda.
So SDP sets up a site to propagate that is okay.
But when all sites in the world is under SDP control to spread SDP propaganda, that is not okay.

that is not true. A good eg is that show on ch8, the hdb dwellers in the rented flat, the characters in the show were praising that the govt in sg are good a few times. Some people know how to tell if it is propaganda but there are still many who just simply are brainwashed.

it may be difficult to seperate truth from half truth, it is easy to determine if all media is propaganda. all i need to do is list one that is not.
for the internet, that will be the STforums, which is hosted by straits times. for the actual newspaper, it will be in the reader's letter column, where some columnist will write about the government policies.
