...only assdogs will defend the asspots taking away people's money and complain about people spending their own money...
.. I must be blind or you are delusional because I do not see the name Dr Chee Soon Juan in that post you quoted.
"The same way they justify persecuting opposition figures like Dr Chee Soon Juan and just as siiliporeans do not care about that, silliporeans will not care about how they justify the 21% increase... silliporeans just bend over and say a soft "ouch" and hope they heard it..."
COE and ERP are fully justified because there should be a HUGE economic penalty(and even social penalty) for using less environmentally-friendly modes of transport AND acclerating the depletion of precious resources. Not to mention the jams. Aren't we deep enough in the shit for global warming and unsustainable development?

What a brainless comment.
Does that mean that the 32inch CRT TV that my dad bought a few years back for $1,000 can be sold for say $800? Afterall, he did spend $1,000 on it.
And my PS2, which I bought for $500 4 years back, I can sell it for $450?
Yes, I can sell it at any price I want, but I'll be more likely to carry it into my grave and probably getting smart remarks as well.
Think of it in a business POV.
Supposedly I ordered 40 PS3 from Sony for $500 each in November and retail it at $549 then in December, they had a drop in price, do I still sell at $549 when everyone else sells it at $499?
I'll just end up with dead stocks.
The so called rebate is crap, my current bills stands at $380, 21% means about $80 increase. Maybe that amount would cover for 3 to 4 months.
Instead of wayang and give stupid angpaos, just freaking up our pay by 10% also can. They can suka suka this up that up, but salary no up? Wait, they salary got up.
Cool, only they need to eat, the rest no need to eat.

U so clever go and buy petrol from "everyone else" that is selling petrol cheaply lah. Or better still, since crude price falling, go buy spot crude oil futures, take delivery of 1 barrel, refine yourself and pump into your car.

no, you can ask for price protection and get the wholesaler or sony to reimburse you the difference. most legit retailers get some form of price protection.

in a non monopolise market, u can either keep selling ur psp at ur original selling price and hope no one import the psp at the lower rate whom will most prob sell them at a much lower price.
which will most prob happen if there is a demand. And i am sure there is that demand, else u wont b selling ps3 to begin with. Hence u will have to lower ur selling price way below the cost price just to cut ur losses.
As u would have realise that with the case of sg, itis a control market where supplier aint punish for their mis-prediction/calculation. The consumer is punish for their mistake instead.
If cost price goes up... itis pass to the consumer to ensure profit. But when cost goes down, price still stay high. Why? not a true variant price peg is it?
All talk aside, 80% of the power is generated by natural gas. So why peg it only to just petrol instead of gas? 21% of total increase out of the original 20%(petrol) used in the power generation = to atleast 100% increase of petrol price to justify the 21% increment.
Unless u take into account the transportation, running of plant cost inflation, wages, etc, factors which contribute to the indirect increase, as a result of pertol increment, But still, this are unseen variable cost that can only be truely understaood better, if gov open up the market to let in more player.

CNG in singapore cost SGD1:50 per kg? can anyone verify whether my understand is correct?
CNG in thailand on SGD0.40/KG.
i think our gas chamber need to buy from thailand coz it cheaper. coz singapore gas chamber tank is made from gold. NAZI party is now in cost cutting mode. saving more money for more panzers!!!
What about gas, why increase gas price??
all i can speculate is that singapore power gas supply is buy in barrels.
for all car owners who want to change into CNG, go tell installer that you wish to install a barrel in your car, not tank.
OIL prices continued to slide, to near US$55 (S$83) a barrel on Thursday before rebounding slightly, as bad economic news from the world's largest economies heightened fears that a severe global downturn will slash demand for crude.
Hopes it fall below $50...then more brokers gets bankrupts . All commodities are speculated to sky high price. It is payback time these ppl for their deeds...
