PSA International, Singapore's port operator, is looking to borrow $1 billion for three years and has appointed DBS as arranger for the loan, according to Reuters Basis Point.
The proposed syndicated loan will be broken into two tranches and will be denominated in a mix of US dollars, Singapore dollars and Hong Kong dollars. A PSA spokesman declined to comment.
PSA operates 28 ports in 16 countries including China, India, South Korea and Vietnam.
DBS was not immediately available to comment. -- THOMSON REUTERS

"The government could unleash more productive, sustainable growth by trimming back its public sector and allowing the economy to diversify on its own."
...trim public sector only? The writer has no idea about Temasek and GIC and Stat boards ... competing with the private sector....
..and how will the dishonorable despots do that when so much money is at stake and they are so dishonorable? They rather kill off the economy then to lose the control and lose their excuse to siphon off public money legally into their own pockets.
"How more jinxed, cursed, dishonorable, idiotic, senile, nepotistic, cronyistic can you get than to buy foreign bank shares at 700 and now it is...

DamnedBloodyStupid bank under his Jinxed husband controlled Temasek can but others cannot? What, everyone is equal but some are more equal?
I hope bosses in Singapore are not that stupid and if they are making ONLY $1,500,000,000 a year like DamnedBloodyStupid bank, they should retrench at least 900 employees.
...retrench 900 but be loyal to the country and make the 900, all foreigners...
Lee Kuan Yew has made Singapore into a great nation in the first place. Without his leadership, Singapore most likely would have stayed just as poor as Malaysia, India, Indonesia, etc.

It was the British that made Singapore into one of the pearls of the orient and the cursed despot cashed in on what the British did and then damged it with his cronism, nepotism and sheer greed.

No, Singapore was a mere trading post before Lee and PAP brought it to the global playing field. You shouldn't distort Singaporean history like that.
Thanks to Lee and PAP, SG has become business friendly:
And because of that Singapore has one of the highest per capita GDPs in the world of over $50,000 USD, which is greater than that of the USA and many Western European nations like France and the UK.
These charts and figures regarding business become meaningless when your realise that you are competing with the cronies and relatives of the cursed despot in Singapore...
When you see Australia as number one, they are truly number one. When you see Denmark number one, they are number one.
Whatever number you see attached to Singapore, it is fake just like democracy is fake in Singapore.

What to do, we are under dictatorship in this country. First and foremost, the old evil senile dictator will have to be happy with the numbers. Numbers, stats can all be manipulated. Let us all continue to wait for his demise.

So? Singapore is not number one in all aspects, but overall it is the economically freest nation in the entire world. Furthermore, SG doesn't violate political rights like some say. You cannot blame SG leaders for sueing people like you for defamation for spreading lies about them.
Defamation and libel are crimes in all Western nations too. And again, if it weren't for PAP's policies, SG would still be a minor trading post and as poor as Malaysia, instead, now it is a wealthy, free city.

Your salary paid with public money is what? How many millions a year? How long have you been taking the public money for your salary?
Now that the GIC and Temasek you had a hand in creating, that is packed with your relatives and cronies, have lost so much, shouldn't you be ashamed of yourself and stop taking public money, especially having taken so much over the years?
Don't you have any shame and honour?
Public servants if don't take public money, then take money from who?
Take money from their parents is it?
Please remember to take your medicine regularly on time and also your electric-chair treatment hourly.

Oh I see, if you are public servant, you have the right to take as much money from the public as possible and to take as much public money for your own pocket as possible?
You are such an idiot.

I repeat. While the business rankings are meaningful in countries with decmocratic freedoms, those numbers are meaningless if not misleading in cursed despots run countries because these cursed despots' cronies and relatives are competing with the private sectors.
I repeat. The British built up Singapore for 200 years and the senile despot cashed in on what the British built, and his greed and dishonorable acts have damaged the country's economy.
If they are kicked out, the repair can begin. If they continue, the damge will just continue.
