my relative who is working in LTA was ask to help me to become road usher during F1. that how cheapo the the govt has treated its own civil servants.
usher should be done by TP, or members from the organiser who reaps in millions of advertising revenue but asking civil servants to do it FOC.
man... F1 can be better use on me.. Fuhrer Nos 1.

Singapore's F1 event was a flop.
Hotles had to slash prices to draw in the fans. The revenue tax from the hotels for the event was greatly reduced. Even with the price slash, only a few hotels were able to enjoy an almost full occupancy rate. Did Ong Beng Seng laugh all the way to the bank?
How will PAP recoup the cost of holding the race?

For purpose of discussion, assuming your hypothesis is true about the reason for the HUGE hike, after sometime when the hike has recovered the sunk cost, will the HIKE be reversed ?I am a simple man, but even I know the answer.
The only question to ask ourselves is WHY MAJORITY is so rich they have no objection?
I personally find this hike extremely tough to swallow.
I personally believe many many more much more hikes are lined up already. But then, that is just me cos the majority have no problem.

singapore is going to lose hundred of millions for next season. when the turn up rate drop, tourist revene down, but hundred of million still need to be spend!

for your info ray245, have you made any studies into the history before saying that the opposition did not come up with any good plans? If you did or you can read AndrewPKyap's thread he did mention of the garmen rejecting the proposal and later had to implement because theirs didnt work.
