Hi,
Just heard from news of TW that allow their People who their gov officials represent them Appraise their gov officials.
I think its kind of a participative leadership.
Having such a system benefits the gov by letting them know People's opinion.
Do you think some other countrys should also adopt this?
What is the hum ? why wait till election then appraise them by way of voting?
Appraisal systems should be 360 degrees and done regularly to keep public SERVANTS on their toes and make the people feel a sense of participation. Afterall , election is also based on opinions of the people based on which they vote for a candidate.
The people deserve value for money.

Dear Fat Kangaroo...
U sit so high up, cannot see whats happening... You should CUT down some of your fats...Or we below will help u...
I tink is a good idea.... BUt I scare I write you this appraisal u sue me how? Then i want to join you also be fat kangaroo can ornot, if i write bad abt you?
Actually dear kangaroo, ppl feeling quite clear lah, jus come any singapore forum and blogs, you can see ppl voicing their opinions liao, it really depends on whether u want to HEAR ornot...
even they would implement this system, it will only be abuse and a wayang in the end.
eventually it will be "own people" appraising the government.
The person "elected" that is suppose to be protecting our reserves i can bet with everything i have, he doesnt even know what is actually is our reserve, not to say the total amount.
Our so call "democratic" society is it really democratic at all? Yes we do have election, people gets to vote. But the system we have here really make our society democratic? or wayang?
so at the end of the day, the root of the problem is still there no matter what system is implemented.
Use your vote to return the power to the people, that is the solution to the root of the problem.
Personally, I could not find a reason for the status quo phenomenon.
I have coined for myself a term to describe how I rationalise this phenomenon.
I call it 'Extreme Pragmatism'. Extreme in every sense of the word. More extreme than a normal person could imagine.
