I have learnt how some people in this world could Manage extremely Effectively. Such a leadership style is to find your subordinate's dirty secrets and blackmail them. While no one will be loyal like a dog for nothing, there are ways to make subordinates work for you like a loyal dog. I personally do not agree with such styles as it is unethical. But we live in a REAL world. Here is the story :
TW is alleging and investigating on Ah Bian and his Chief Investigation officer of the entire TW.
Allegations :
1. International Anti-Corruption agency top secret info sent to Chief Investigator (CI). CI leaks this to Bian. The secret is against Bian about 'washing black money'.
2. TV political commentators described the case as such : A Mafia is an Organised crime organisation. What happens when the CI and the President collude and organise 'wash black money' crimes? What happens when someone is given too much Power ? How effective is a system if the chief can become the crook? The chief should investigate based on clues from International anti-Corruption Agency ? Personally, I worry that if the CI is controlled by another country, the whole country can be destroyed from within.
3. reputable political commentators analysed the case in-progress and feels that the investigation team as a whole has not met expectation and thus not effective in the investigation. They have no choice but to suspect that somehow the collusion may involve not just the CI and Bian as the case is too complex to be handled by 2 persons.
4. commentators suspect that the CI could have had been black mailed in that Bian has gotten hold of some secrets about CI that forces the CI to have to cooperate with Bian and become a partner in crimine. Likewise, they suspect how many more within the investigation hierarchy are also blackmailed by Bian given the slow and inefficient investigation over the years.
Though the investigations are on-going, there are many lessons to learn from them.
Any system no matter how secure can be broken by the person in-charge of the system when there is no independent check-n-balance. Don't be naive and base on blind trust and believe. Conflict of interest must be investigated thoughroughly. Absolute power ..... absolutely. Responsibility ultimately lies in the people to ensure the leader does not attempt the same as described above. Humans are just human, not infallable and can never be sin-free. If the people do not push for transparency and check-n-balance, it would be naive to assume some people will do that for you.
Time bomb waiting to happen.
