Like i said...Patriotism is a great thing. It shows pride in one's country thus implying that the country has done stuff to be proud of. Im just questioning the passion with which Gun, in particular, and CX, to a lesser extent, express their views.
In my small opinion...too much passion is not good. It clouds judgement and encourages irrational behaviour. I think you will find that a bit less feeling and a lot more thinking gets problems resolved better. I admire Singapore's govt greatly. They have showed great restraint...truely befitting a powerful country.
If some of the morons present in these forums were running Singapore then I think we wouldnt be comfortably expressing our opinions but instead would be firing away with the missiles and driving the tank variants that they seem to be far too familiar with...

Tks for compliment Singapore Govt. They did have shown self-restrain (many times - its a fact) when these can still be resolved thru diplomatic channel. No damages have been done so far. Unlike the Michael Fay case whereby vandalism had been committed and punishment have to be met. Does not matter if we are facing neighbors or stronger country. Singapore Govt govern our country based on Singapore law in conjunction with the UN standard.
On the comment of "Moron" should have been conveted as "Hot-Headed" instead. These statement is an invitation to treat, for flaming post. Doesn't do you any good. Of course, I agree that hot-headed person can rule the country by their heart.
