a local trying to make a living being made to suffer at the hands of these ah tiongs. the ultimate insult. i really feel for the poor uncle. obviously medical bills not covered, its either his own medisave or the cab company, which is local $$$ in the end.
n check out the verdicts for those barbarians. "One has since returned to China."

skythewood makes a good point. Does it make it worse of an act because they're not Singaporean? Likewise, does nationality vindicate a maid abuser?
They're both despicable crimes, irrespective of nationality.

But for this case, this crime is imported. This is our land, we better show them whos the boss here... Nt come here and make trouble. THis shows us that we should be careful in who we allowed in. .

Reminds me of a conversation I had with my local colleagues a few years ago.
Them: Foreign workers are dangerous, and there should be fewer of them. Lots of murders in Little India.
Me: Have you ever been threatened in Little India? How many of the victims were Singaporean?
Them: Blank faces
Me: How did you get to work today?
Them: MRT
Me: Nice isn't it? Who built it?
I can't recall being invited for lunch again, but you get the point. Are foreign workers really a danger to Singaporeans? Does anybody have any stats, or are we drawing conclusions from anecdotal evidence such as this story?
Lastly, should crime against Singaporeans be increasing, how much is acceptable for the clear benefits to Singapore of cheap foreign labour?

between the time the assailants was identified and the guy leave singapore, there is a time lapse. police cannot miraculously solve case and detain people instantaneuosly.
actually this is just my guess. you are welcomed to make wild guess on why.
seems like singaporean got bullied by foreigners too. i thought only singaporeans bully other singaporeans.

Maid also have abuse people. They let adult drink their urine & period. Newspaper have report it before. But who know you might be tasting it now. They don't abuse you but they will abuse your child. Because children don't know how to complain. Therefore, u seldom see complain on maid abuse Singaporean.

I disagree, both party are willing party. They want money, some singaporean want sex. Plus foreign women can chose other jobs. Didn't our govt say there r enuff jobs for everyone. u believe hor....
