Yes, WP is now most active political opposition party.
Therefore don't be too quick to attribute such gains to SDP or WP.
Let's just regard it as a hard-earned victory. A small-step.
Yes.
Worker's Party is the most active opposition party we have in Singapore right now.

There's no point being patronising.
You can have your views, I can have mine. I respect that.
Yes, I compared the activities of SDP and WP.
From this it is clear that WP is the most active opposition party right now.
That is completely clear.
brave soldier?
wrong.

Well, it's the usual SDP way of honorary decoration of anyone who fits their policy of antagonising politics.
brave soldier?
wrong.
Coward soldier?

Neither brave nor coward.
It's just normal.
SDP need to save on their hyperboles.
It's just normal.
If soldiers oppose PAP is normal, we won't be having discussion now.
when i see the word "bravest", i was thinking that this guy stare at death in the face and completed his mission in the line of fire, and inspired his fellow soldier with his brave feats above and beyond the call of duty.
and since he is the bravest, he does that more than any other guy in the SAF,
than i see what he did is join a protest.

another problem with the local opposition is despite knowing how weak they are in singapore, they have no ability to see the big picture. even when they know its hard to win they won't share resources and cooperate in elections.
opposition can argue about PAP making govt more appealing to singaporeans, but when it comes to they themselves they just keep quiet.
even when they know its hard to win they won't share resources and cooperate in elections.
They should join forces in next elections.

Agreed, if he was that brave, why does'nt he use his talents to serve our nation instead of wasting them in stupid acts like this? If he went to afganistan and single-handedly captured osama bin laden then i would call him brave

would they? judging by past history can they even trust each other? some rather stab another to take a step forward alone when both can take two steps forward. opposition panties need to show political maturity and convince the public by working together.
that is serious short sightedness in action.... to give up long term benefits for short term gains. aren't you glad they didn't win at the election?
until a guy who can lead the opposition, and give them a long term action plan, and won't be tempted by short term gain to give up long term benefits, no point voting for opposition. far sighted guys include chiam see tong and friends.
super short sighted guy who can't even figure out the long term benefit of not going to jail and opt for the short term benefit of slandering LKY to make himself feel good, is not fit to become a leader.

because he won't die in sg, obviously he can't think, he just wants to be a hero and some jerk made used of him.

What about Lee Kuan Yew allegations against JBJ?
Originally posted by Poh Ah Pak:What about Lee Kuan Yew allegations against JBJ?
never heard of it.
but you can figure out the answer by
1) did the comment caused and injury to the reputaion of persons involved?
2) is the comment baseless?
these 2 are the key factors.

its not that
it just feels like everyone's a leader in their own right so who would give it up to listen to another?
never heard of it.
