they will have to pay back the same cost through tax when they work later. In singapore, u pay upfront actually. Considering there is the non existence of the social security issue 6-7K is reasonable. the price of one Home theatre high end every semester.

Well for my university, Queensland University of Technology. I know that International students have to pay up to an average of $20,000 per year. As each subject costs roundly up to $2500 for them.
For Australian citizens like myself, we only need to pay $800+ per subject. Since the government pays for us and after we graduate, we then have to work to pay them back.
Singapore is more reasonable compared to Australia but what can you do if people want to get higher education and also graduate from a well known university.
