Ask yourself if you are doing your friends a favour and you will have the answer whether you should send the email.
When they sign on to this cause, they will have good and strong motivation not to spend even if they have money (the economy is so bad it is better to hoard than to spend).
It benefits all Singaporeans to have a lower cost of living.
The massive influx of foreigners will reverse.
All good effects, unless you are a despot (lower GST, petrol, electricity taxes collection).

So it is not true that there are such rumours? The email does not state that is it a rumour? When someone says, "The water is toxic" that is spreading a rumour.

the people of seranggon gardens are only experiencing what other parts of singapore have experienced. before thinking of them as victims you should listen to what people on the streets are saying of them being more vocal doesn't mean they're correct. i do not like having so many foreigners myself but i believe there are ways to solve that problem, destroying ourselves in the process isn't a solution.
should the economy go down, bosses will take the chance to trim their workforce and who you think goes first? i've went for an interview recently and i was actually told they would prefer foreigners because of the cost. as workers we do cost more for doing the same job. how many singaporean bosses do you think are going to be patriotic and hire only singaporeans regardless of the cost?
and you think having the car coe drop to $2 will benefit singapore?
how? you think the auntie picking the cupboard will jump for joy when coe become $2? what percentage of the people shoving into mrt everyday at 5pm do you think gives a shit about a $2 coe? -
