As long as the despots refuse to lower the prices and cost of living in Singapore.... The despots have damaged the economy and for self interests, they are reluctant to do the necessary.
Singaporeans have to stop spending and cut down on spending on essentials to save the country from total destruction.... and send the email reminding their friends to do the same.

Buddhism is reality based (Buddhist philosophy anyway, not the Buddhist religion as practised by many) and Christianity is faith and hope based.
You must know when to face reality instead of clinging on to faith and hope or you become an idiot.
When you are inclined to face reality, you develop tools (logic, critical thinking) to help you.
When you are inclined to "faith and hope" you tend to strengthen your faith in lieu of using your brains.
Those that lack the ability to think, faith and hope is great for them. Those that can think well, faith and hope is redundant.

If the headlines says that 'Andrew is screwed', will you take it that it meant you were literally screwed? insane? or physically abused? read the contents... none of your quotes gave facts that Singapore is in recession.. only assumption that if our GDP continues to decline, we'll be in recession.
