The Number of the Beast is described in the Book of Revelation 13:18. The original Greek reads:
Ὧδε ἡ σοφία á¼�στÎ¯ν· á½� á¼”χων νοῦν ψηφισάτω τὸν á¼€ριθμὸν τοῦ θηρίου· á¼€ριθμὸς γá½°ρ á¼€νθρÏŽπου á¼�στί· καὶ á½� á¼€ριθμὸς αá½�τοῦ χξϛʹ.
The King James translates:[5]
Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.
One interpretation is that 666 encodes the letters of someone’s name or title, identifying the Antichrist.Chances are that the number 666 was not chosen arbitrarily to serve as the lot number for the chandelier. Although this could be considered reading into the story too much, it does provide an interesting twist..
The number 666 is considered to be "The Sign of the Beast." While Erik is no beast, neither was he treated as an equal human during his life (or during the course of the show/novel). Many people automatically equate the number 666 with darkness and chaos. Since the chandelier came to represent the events surrounding the Phantom, the number 666 symbolizes the turmoil - both inner (Christine having to decide between Raoul and Erik) and outer (the chandelier crashing, and bodies having the nasty habit of appearing out of nowhere) - that engulfs the Paris Opera in 1881. Because darkness is the Phantom's domain, the number 666 also suits him, and bringing "a little illumination" (from the chandelier) would be considered a good way to banish him. Raoul represents the light to Christine, and as Raoul wins Christine over the Phantom in the end, light banished the darkness. -

I have very little belief or trust that these "numbers" are supposed to be true, literal, or meant to be taken literally.
It can be pure superstition, fairy-tales, or metaphorical, or it can be made up.
So dont spend too much time messing your mind with these "666" theories...waste of time and energy, in my humble opinion. Completely worthless.

...unfortunately the evidence is too compelling... only the BEAST will layoff 900 people in a company making more than $1.5 billion in profits... with his right mouth and then asks his left mouth to express disappointment.
... only the BEAST will have no qualms taking massive amounts of public money for their own pockets...
...only the BEAST will put his relatives and cronies in charge of govenment reserves to lose tens if not huindreds of billions to foreigners and then raise electricity charges by 21% to cover the losses.
...only the BEAST will ... there is so much evidence of the BEAST.... spend some time reading the internet and less time reading the propaganda press...
