And it is this CO2 that sustains the food chain and don't forget that we are carbon-based organisms. Why is the press demonising CO2 when 98% of the greenhouse effect is caused by water vapour.

Actually I don't see why Al Gore is regarded as a failure. I thought that all along his argument was more on climate change rather than global warming? Hence this drop in temperature globally could be a sign of climate change as well. It's too early to think that climate change is a farce.

If you mean it happens. The climate changes all the time, without help from human activities. Thinking that we can change the climate with economic activities just play into the hands of corporate criminals looking to make a buck of scams like a carbon tax (perhaps to help Al Gore pay his electricity bill) and to reduce the standard of living for people round the world.
