New government take all the money and run? You have to elect a good government, I would recommend CSJ and his gang.
The only way to do so is to invade, occupy and integrate Singapore into a foreign power's territory...which i think is extremly easy....

Malaysia is the obvious choice.
Singapore become Malaysia's HK.
one day we might get sold to some foreign companies. who knows, seeing that our country is being run by businessmen.

That's right, invade Malaysia, occupy and integrate Singapore into Malaysia and call it the greater Singapore. LKY might be interested to become the agung there and leave the running of the country to somebody else.
Very simple answer to your question: vote PAP out.
Wah...malaysia very big leh...I think Johor state is enough... the rest we let our allies have it as part of their reward...haha

To do that, you have convince the majority of Singaporeans who trust the PAP far more than the likes of CSJ :)

There are more than one opposition in Singapore.
This is an unthinking thread which is simply retarded.. Go join opposition or visit hong lim park if you wish. None of that stupid stuff (to you) would be implemented if not seriously necessary, stop whining and get on with life la.
-Remove cheenaman from our country effectively, with just a small number left
Our economy would be too small to even survive. We need the people.
-Do not allow Malaysians to work decently paid jobs or above
Then Singaporeans MUST NEVER study or work elsewhere. Because you will only get jobs like those of cleaners or rubbish chute guards.
-Reduce cigarettes and tobacco tax by $1 per packet or equivalent
Smoke and you kill yourself. What for?
-Gst to go back to 5%
You want government to give money, reduce this reduce that, the reduction and deficit sure come from your pocket la.
-Reduce alcohol tax by a small amount
Same theory as smoking. I suggest we ban them all.
-Reduce funding on education, the money could be spent elsewhere
HELLO??? Are you like out of your mind? No education = no future. Well, no wonder you're here spouting nonsense. Bet you didn't benefit from the education system here la. Sigh..
-Increase subsidies for healthcare
I think medisave and medishield is more or less enough, though there are areas which could largely be improved. Like being able to use our medisave for clinic consultation, and making it strictly mandatory for ALL employers to contribute a minimum sum to the employee's medisave, provided the employee works to save up for himself too. Govt could help.
-And more importantly, MM and PM Lee both stepping down
Brainless. Are you eyeing to be the next PM? But not to worry, I'm sure no one has got super powers to live through aeons.

CSJ? His party website alone shows how good they are. Its full of crappy outdated info that criticize the govt. Read the article The truth abt poverty in singapore. Wow they quoted a 1988 report! Latest news! In their hands, Singapore may become as rich as CSJ one day.
The moment I read the TS say reduce funding on education and reduce taxes on alcohol and cigarettes, I knew he was one of those who probably dropped out because he was a delinquent who smoked and drinked alcohol all day. Reduce funding on education and spend it elseware? Let me guess, building casionoes and bars? TS you make me sick.
Lol, I am not really "for" building casinos, but government says build, and build two!
I dont smoke and drink all day, but our tobacco taxes are among the highest in the world, thats not good. Tobacco is not all bad, you know. At least its better than uranium fish.

I SUPPORT YOUR QUOTE DUDE. YOU'RE A GENIUS!
What does "STOP" means to the TS?
STOP can mean many things.
Perhaps our Papists are monitoring this post, nevertheless, here's a few proposal to stop our ruling.
1. Combine all oppositions into 1 strong party.
2. Stop PAP from within.
3. Influence through internet, by using empathy to gain support.
4. Garner support from non-english group.
5. Be an influencial businessman in a precious commodity/service to Singapore and indirectly influence political policies.
Anymore ideas?

It's different/
Tobacco is not a necessity.
Roads are.
ERP will indirectly raise operational costs of many businesses, some of which will likely be passed on to consumers.

True, people have a choice not to smoke, thus not contributing to the coffers.
Roads, yes, definitely with ERP placed strategically along the roads, it will increase operational costs.
Discourage people from buying cars with ERPs, yes, to a certain degree, again, it's down to choice, you can choose not to have a car as it's pretty convenient in Singapore, you can do away with Cars, unlike in M'sia.

I have this crazy idea from reading a sgf thread. I know it wont work, because singaporeans are kia-si.
We can show our displeasure with the lees way of running singapore, by mass jumping on MRT stations all over sg. People getting knocked by trains in boon lay, jurong east, bukit batok, clementi, chua chu kang, woodlands, orchard, outram park, tanjong pagar, kallang, bedok, bugis, tampines, pasir ris, toa payoh, bishan, changi, expo. 2 persons or more at each station, make SMRT stop!
Then when they going to resume that time, we do it again! MRT stations will be crowded like hell. Taxis will be overloaded, people cant go to work, students cant go to school.
Mass suicide ftw!
In order to stop the mass suicides, the lees must agree to these terms
-Remove cheenaman from our country effectively, with just a small number left
-Do not allow Malaysians to work decently paid jobs or above
-Reduce cigarettes and tobacco tax by $1 per packet or equivalent
-Gst to go back to 5%

If all else fails, we can always follow the thais, camp at changi airport!
Retarded idea.....you might as well organise mass burglarly/robbing/plundering of Malaysia.
All Singaporeans go into Malaysia and start committing robbing, plundering, burglarly crimes.
Of course Malaysia won't have so many prison to contain all the Singaporean criminals.
It will indirectly made Singapore lose alot of face, dollar value will go down and you might even get to read and see your favorite PM or MP apologising to the PM or MP of Malaysia.
But of course, this is not my idea and I'm am in no way responsible for inciting such intolerant actions.
I don't approve or encourage such destructive actions and behaviour from Singaporeans towards our friendly and peaceful Malaysia neighbour. ![]()
Hi,
"-Remove cheenaman from our country effectively, with just a small number left
-Do not allow Malaysians to work decently paid jobs or above". ???
I'm a new member of the sgforums family, a local here.
As all of you have surely noticed, there are more foreigners in Singapore nowadasy.. majority from China, India, Malaysia etc.. and also from the States, and European countries.
I used to have a prejudice towards chinese from China, as i find some of their behaviors rude, ill-manners. China used to give me the impression of being third-class, run down, dirty... (Question to think about: Why don't we have the same prejudice towards Western countries? )
However, as i develop, i guess my mindset changed, and i adopted a more, open-minded thinking. I try to get to know people from diverse backgrounds...Thanks to the internet, i have friends from Thailand, Burma, Taiwan, China, Brazil, States...
As i begin to be curious, and ask about their culture, i begin more curious, i tasted their food (always a good way to start a conversation), talked about their culture there... compare and contrast, "people there.. people here"...
My impression for China, Chinese, Indians and all the countries changed! i concluded that, we are not that different afterall...We are who we are (partially) because of our society background/culture... (How will I be if i was raised in.... the States ? or .. China?) i mean, we don't decide where to be born.. and people, no matter from where just want a better life.. Thus, they come to Singapore, and many Singaporeans go overseas... (Think of how their host country people think of Singaporean?? It's irrational).
Singapore is a meritocrity society right? Whoever can do a good job, should get the job.. Hmmm perhaps, a little humility and being appreciative of others will help the change? There's really nothing to brag about..
There is an interesting article by David Martin Jones "Asian Values and the Constitutional Order of Contemporary Singapore", and Soek-Fang Sim "Asian Values, Authoritarianism and Capitalism in Singapore". You can find them on google scholars.
As with regards to the PAP? I hope i have the opportunity to have a break, and live overseas for sometimes... see if i still like it here...
YellowHumpBack
Or we drill a big hole and let singapore sink into the ocean.....
