Japan's industrialisation boomed due to the US presence during the Korean War. And Japan was the first Asian country to be part of what became the global economy together with Western Europe and the US.

freedom, i think you're just being too paranoid. at a time when the whole world is suffering from an economic downturn, having a world government or not should be the least of our concerns. even if it does concern us, with stubborn people like the north koreans, do you seriously think they'll let themselves be governed by what you call a 'world government'?

Its only natural that supranational integration should be the next step with all the regional integration going on.
Calling it paranoid is a too narrow-minded view when academia is already discussing world governance as a way to solve global crisises.

First you erroneously say Japan isolated themselves for 72 years after WWII (1934-1935??), then you talk about Mao's Long March...are you confusing Maoist China with US-occupied Japan?

I think none of you were educated with the same syllabus as the China nationals.
So it's understandable that people around the world don't share the same understanding of their own country against the world.
