I'm kind of curious where does all the GST goes to.. The government says it went to the needys and how many needys are there in Singapore? Is there any charts and figures to show the total amount of GST collected and redistrubted to these needys? Just curious to find out cause paying quite a bit on GST already.

How can you question the government's commitment to helping the poor?
How can? ![]()

The government says the money from the GST goes to the needy huh? That is pure bullshit. THE REASON THEY ARE NEEDY IS THE GST
no idea, but they say they will handle. They are our big brother, will take care of us :D
C'mon folks, who really gives a shit about the needy? What's important is keeping your brilliant government rich so that they do not become corrupt.
Suck on it.

if i am small company less than 1 million sale
therefore GST not registered
I sell my item S$0.80 to NTUC without GST
you buy the item from NTUC S$1.00 , and you need to pay 7% GST
why not S$0.20 x 7% & is S$1.00 x 7%

why would you want to be not GST registered?
end up you gotta absorb GST yourself, you can't even claim

NTUC can claim back the $0.80 * 7% from the govt because NTUC has already paid for that GST through my company. Means in the end, the government still collects $1 *7% GST.
I think the money collected for GST went into the country's reserve fund? ![]()
I don't mind paying so much for the GST if it really reached the needys. Just want some facts and figures.
u guys havent given up yet??? ![]()

GST is the Greatest Singapore Tax.
Singaporeans generally want GST increases.
Just like they generally want transport fare hikes. ![]()
