cause whomever gets elected, i still have to pay taxes.
It's more than taxes issue.

It's just a "btw" statement which shows his declared political neutrality.

I mean.. look at JBJ.. God bless his soul.. he was a rich lawyer who had everything... but when he finally decided to speak out his beliefs and point out the flaws of our government, he was silenced, bankrupted and kicked out of parliament.
JBJ could have left long ago. But he chose not to. I guess he knew full well that S'poreans are generally not as empowered. After what walesa said, being spoon-fed propaganda and all. JBJ wasn't doing this for himself. He was doing it for all we chicken-hearted S'poreans afraid of losing everything and being jailed for our beliefs.
It's the same with CSJ. Back when he just returned to Singapore in 1990 he was a lecturer at NUS.. he had a car, happily married and a healthy income. After he got first got sued in 1993..(i might be wrong) he could have jolly well packed-up and go, but he stayed on, for the same reason. Even until now, with 3 kids, he still does it. Because like JBJ, he knows S'poreans still need that extra push to empower themselves.
I dunt need extra push to empower myself!!!
If i find somethings wrong from whoever,i wil critize it!!
Why opposition party look themselves like a stimulus or like the Superman
that only himself can save the earth?I dunt need them to tell me that PAP
or whatever is wrong to run SG in this or that way.
I have a small brain!!No need to awake me.I am fully alert and know what
has happening in the past 50 years under the ruling of PAP.
I still need to pay tax and die if i am sick or too old.SG is not a heaven,
it is just a small place in the earth. But SG is still much better than other
countries currently, including so called developed countries!!

LSJ should do somthing concrete if he wants to win over the heart of the people.
Words without work done will not win any heart.
Start some businesses to help former prisoners, help injured foreign labourers to get compensation, pay and proper living conditions, help to provide free tuition to poor children ........
Simply start a hotline and website for people who needs help. CSJ should then really get down to help these people and surely he will be rewarded with votes by these people that he has helped.
From there, people can see work done and believe in him. Followers will grow then and votes for him will come automatically.

Chee quoted SG was losing people
Last time was he quoted SG emigration(outgoing) was the second worst in the world,
right after East Timor.Chee quoted a western professor article which
was based on CIA figures. Both of them do not mention CIA.
In fact, they are just damn wrong.CIA mean the opposite---
Both countries were facing highest incoming migration
per 100,000 in the world!East Timor just enjoyed peace,
while SG was enjoying booming enconomy and huge influx
of foreign students. If anyone has been traveling MRT every day
in SG in the past few years,he should note the train get more
crowded. But Chee did not take note!!

Now Chee said HDB stopped building small HDB flats few years ago
He said--
"A few years ago the Government was saying that it would phase out the smaller flats..."
I think Chee really need to polish his knowledge in Social Studies.
Do u guys have any spare old text books, primary or secondary?
If so,pl send to Chee or past to him tonight!!
The fact is HDB stopped building 3 room flat (2 bed rooms ) and below
in 1980's.HDB started rebuild them in around 2004 becos of
----aging population
--------more unmarried single and widow/er!!
I admit more people look for smaller units becos of down turn.
How can a potential Prime Minister of Singapore make this kind
of mistake? He just said the opposite!!
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
The above two are not small mistakes.
It shows Chee did not take note of what are happening in Singapore.
He just quote without thinking and to vertify.
My English is not a good example.I do dare say my facts and figures
are pretty correct.

Pl ask Chee some questions about SG tonight.See if he can answer it!!
Yes.Tonight is also exam time of Social Studies for SDP!!

It was reported today that the Government is building more two- and three-room flats because they are presently in demand. Two-room flats are those with a living room and one bedroom. The sale price for such a new flat starts at $76,000. What this really means is that Singaporeans are getting poorer and unable to afford bigger flats. A few years ago the Government was saying that it would phase out the smaller flats because Singaporeans were moving into 4- and 5-room flats as they got richer. What happened?
There is only one answer: Singaporeans are getting poorer. The HDB tells us that "there are more people who will need to downgrade to smaller flats, as well as first timer families who would also like to start with smaller flats to be financially prudent."..........EOQ

He's older than you, so I'm pretty sure he knows singapore better than you do.![]()
CSJ has talked so far. Tan Kin Lian has rallied for the DBS Minibond holders. Is he being arrested and put to jail ? NO ! He has won many supporters in return because he really goes round to help people, not just talk and talk.

He is indeed older than our lionnoisy, but he spent his youth overseas studying whereas our lion (merlion) have been guarding marina bay all these times, so i guess our lion knows singapore better.
Can the noisy pussy know more about Singaporeans than the politicians like Chee Soon Juan ?
In his book "A Nation Cheated", CSJ had produced little known facts that were hidden since the late 1950s - which seems to have been ignored by noisy pussy.
Chee Soon Juan: Has Singapore been cheated?
05Sep08
Chee Soon Juan’s new book A Nation Cheated touches on the official history of Lee Kuan Yew and the PAP. CSJ’s speech, as quoted on the SDP website:
The picture that emerged was one not quite the story that I heard and read growing up. In a nutshell, the Professor’s [Tim Harper] account was that the people of Singapore wanted Lim Chin Siong as their leader but the British would not allow it and wanted Lee Kuan Yew instead.
So we have two versions of what happened: one written written by a disinterested, third-party academic and based on verifiable de-classifed papers, and the other by Lee Kuan Yew who still has vested personal interests in telling these events. I do not think I would be far wrong if I say that the majority of people would look to the former for a more accurate and objective account of that part of history.

I am not interested to read his books.
wat i know the fxxking facts are---
few decades ago,the GDP per capita at PPP of SG,ie Singapore is not a fraction of Australia.
Now in 2009,this is the reverse that Singapore's figure is one third HIGHER
than Australia.
This is SG the only slum free city in the world and put foods
on the tables, and we no need to retrain our expensively trained
doctors to work as nurse in USA!!
Kow Tow to PAP!!
read here how SG catchs up and over take Australia in GDP!!

De Chee.
THIS IS NOT A BAILOUT OF IR.
THIS IS NOT A BAILOUT OF IR.
THIS IS NOT A BAILOUT OF IR.
Dr Chee is going to mislead us again.
He wants to mix up a separate purchase of business with bailout of
Marina Bay Sands IR /casino project.
The payment of US 1.3 b is not for IR,but for
''a company the GIC recently acquired for US$1.3 billion and renamed (originally called ProLogis Asian Operations).
Also GIC had joint venture with the co in Japan since 2002!!
''ProLogis
agreed last December to sell off all of its operations in China and its
property fund interests in Japan to GIC Real Estate for $1.3 billion in
order to pay down debt. The sale was a 4 percent to 6 percent loss for
ProLogis.
GLP’s assets in China
include 20.7 million square feet of property, ProLogis’s interests in
five China joint ventures and one property fund, a 30 percent interest
in retail joint venture SZITIC and 713 acres of land. In Japan, GLP
bought out ProLogis’s 20 percent interest in its Japan funds thus
obtaining full ownership.
ProLogis and GIC jointly
established operations in Japan beginning in 2002 and have to date
raised two funds, Prologis Japan Properties I and II. ProLogis and GIC
were the funds’ only investors.''
