While I would agree that Israeli military action has unfortunately led to the deaths of innocent bystanders due to the nature of urban fighting, I'd much rather boycott a group that calls for the utter destruction of a sovereign state. The blood of innocent Palestinians is in the hands of Hamas.
If Meshaal had any interest in developing Gaza into a sustainable territory, he would have realised that ideological and physical terrorism would have been a dead end street.

What Im surprised about is the bombing and targetting of schools to kill women and children.
Terrorism is wrong, like when someone launch a suicide bombing at a cafe to kill civillians but this is the same, wanton killing of civillians, just the term is different, state-sponsored-terrorism or war-crime or crime against humanity.
Israel seem really have a hobby in doing this, they did this in Lebanon and is doing it again, killing massive numbers of children. I dont think it is a concidence or a mistake or an accident. Some hardcore psy-ops wacko sitting in the command center of IDF is deliberately targetting schools such as the UN schools.

Lordz, your argument is reasonable, but one question it raises is why we should boycott one or the other instead of holding both sides to account for this godawful mess.

Is it really a sovereign state?
I think de-facto it is definitely a state. But officially, Israel is still not recognized by many other sovereign states in the world.
So that makes Israel at best a half-sovereign, disputed, state.
One can look at how someone is calling for a destruction of a state, but dont forget how this party conducts itself and is indeed carrying out acts of destruction of that other state which it is in contention with.

I do not believe that Israel intentionally targets civilian centers. It is not in their philosophy.
However, it is fair to assume that your typical JDAM's blast radius can incur destruction around a single targeted area. Secondly, Hamas operational doctrine calls for embedding their fighters and rocket teams within urbanised civilian centres. If you were to take a look at the map of Gaza City, you'd realise that it is a very densely populated area.
This fear of incurring more innocent casualties is one reason why Israel will move towards use of ground forces rather than continuing to wage a sole air war on Hamas. But I know they can and should have done much more to create and enforce a humanitarian corridor for aid and evacuation at the same time.

Hamas can fire from adjacent areas of a building and then deny they fire from within the building.
If I am Palestinian, I will avoid these 'safe' buildings at all costs.
