i think it was only a few days ago, our man in charge of home security in singapore talk about the need to tighten our border security and a truckload of other stuff. now this....
SINGAPORE: A grandmother who went missing in Genting Highlands a week ago has been found – in Singapore.
The 73-year-old, who suffers from mild dementia and depression, somehow managed to travel more than 400km south and across the border without her passport and bus ticket, and with a handbag containing less than $20 in Singapore currency。。。。

No sure, he shouldn't comment.....
comment with no lead is as good as not commenting...
you know, something is really very wrong..
According to the article, the 2nd paragraph says
"travel ... across the border without her passport and bus ticket ..."
Then, the 9th paragraph says
"The family said it received news on Tuesday from the Singapore High Commission in Kuala Lumpur that arrival records showed Madam Voon had entered Singapore on Sunday."
So.. If she went missing without her passport, how could there be a arrival record..? And if there is a arrival record, how could it be considered a security breach..?
Anyway guys, the details are sketchy, and we don't really know the whole circumstance, so.. Let's not jump the gun shall we?
WKS... feel sad for him...
When all else fails, inveigle and obfuscate. ![]()
let's move on. ![]()

When a superior is of questionable competence, how do you expect the men he commands and is supposed to lead to remain inspired and motivated in their work? When mistakes are made and morale is already at an all time low, is he one that encourages them to do better, does he try to find out what is wrong, and do all in his capacity to create an environment his men can better themselves in, or simply one who passes blame down the line, expects pubishment to be metted out and does little except to further break their already splintered spirit?
There is a reason why the saying exists: "Leadership is not about power, but responsibility." There can be no excuse for men in position to claim innocence when their followers screw up.
