Opposition - Where To?: A public forum
Singapore Democrats
In an age of democratic change, Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong continues to insist that a one-party system is good for Singapore. This is regardless of what the opposition and Singaporeans at large think and want.
But even as we debate on whether such a one-party state is desirable for this country, what are opposition parties doing to build confidence among the electorate for support? Is greater Opposition unity and cooperation a necessary, or even important, factor in attracting votes? Or is the authoritarian system making elections in Singapore a non-starter?
Also does civil society and the blogging community have a role to play in helping to develop a multi-party system? Given the state of politics here, is it desirable for the political opposition and civil society to work closer together to promote democracy? If so, in what ways?
These are important questions that will be tackled at a public forum organised by the Singapore Democrats entitled Opposition - Where To?:

Can Singapore hope to reach First World Status - when politics are monopolised by the Third World methods of the Singaporean Ruling Political Party that are fixxed in their Third World Mentality ?
Fearing the possibility of losing grip to political power, MM LKY has already schemed the many different scenarios that ranged from :
1. giving all Senior Citizens the opportunity to cast two votes during the General Election, as if the Senior Citizens of his generation remain alive and will support him, his policies, and his Party;
2. in the extreme scenario of an Alternative Political Party taking on the reins of Government, MM LKY had suggested chaos and breakdown of the rule of law that require the SAF to takeover Government.
Is this the politics of a First World Country that require the out-going government to handover political power to the incoming government ?
The future of Singapore Politics must be moulded by Singaporeans, and it is in the interest of Singaporeans to give themselves the opportunity to listen to all sides - if they cannot volunteer their services to be political activists, or even to be members of political parties.
Many Singaporeans remain "shy" to be full fledge members of any Alternative Political Party - out of fear of repercussions that can take either political, or economic, or other forms.
Many Singaporeans remain apolitical in public even as they have strong political views towards their present political status.
Can there be any future for the Alternative Parties without the support of the ground ?
Can the Alternative Parties find a way forward in the present circumstance when Singaporeans surrender to the illegal and unconstitutional methods of domination and abuse of the legal process to stay in power ?

Those attending, please ask, if it is not raised, how cronism, nepotism and making policies in the interest of self, cronies, relatives and ass-licking dogs will destroy the country's economy.

Looks like the opposition tactic of letting the despots destroy the country all by themselves is working out really well..
Why provide opposition (feedback) when they arrest and sue you for trying to put some sense into the cursed greedy despots heads?
Why provide opposition (feedback) when silliporeans do not appreciate it and let the despots do their dastardly deeds to opposition members in apathy?

i'm sorry to say that but after the various years of travelling around each GE and looking at the opposition, most of them really CMI...
and the biggest CMI one is the attention whores running SDP...
alas.. they had such potential...

Yea, it's kinda time for my hopes in mankind to be crushed again.I'm begining to suspect though, that the people advocating the hardest for us to go aren't even going to attend themselves.

Why the expression of disappointment ?
Was the disappointment caused by SDP's success in attracting the PAP's efforts at pulling all stops to knock the wind out of the SDP ?
Or was the disappointment a result of SDP inability to be quietly accomodating to the PAP by being a silent party in Parliament as the WP and SDS ?
What can anyone expect from a Drama Queen who is no better than a whore for all the accusations levelled at Singaporeans more able than his impotent self ?Is it any wonder that 'she' will hide behind the abbreviation "CMI" - when 'she' is no better than the hypocrite of having asked the opposition to "count me in" but has been rejected for being an obvious whore acting for the MIW ?
What else can be expected for one to consistently behaving like an attention whore in seeking to be controversial in the views and opinions towards the opposition ?
It is obvious that the passionate venom spitted at the opposition - and in particular towards those at SDP - must have been a result of having been treated like a whore by the SDP that result in such hatred displayed.
Only a whore will behave like one, and attempt to return the compliment given.
