I will like to suggest that our government should lead by example during this downturn.
As i been continue reading and watching news that they keep on telling us that our econmy is getting worse this year.
If they can just shown the rich that they can reduce and having a paycut to help the rest to go through this tough times. Although, having paycut in government did not able to help too much for the whole economy, but it can shown to those CEO or higher management instead of job retrenchment, they can save some jobs for those who just want a jobs for living.
During last downturn, our government hope that all of us to support the rich or the big bosses by having CPF cut, and think that if the rich getting richer, they will make the economy moved as they will spend more money. But this idea does not seem like it works, as all rich are not stupid, instead of spending, they keep most money for the bad times. Moreover, the money did not ready flow back to the poor or middle class.
