  Now that the MGB has been phrased out, does anyone know what we have in its place?

  I think I am "knowledgable enough" to answer that.
  
  MGB (UK product) in past has served our needs pretty well by able to fulfill most of our fixed bridging needs up to MLC60:
  section bridge - 5 bay bridge - 8m gap (short gap)
  platoon bridge - 24 bay bridge - 22m gap (medium gap)
  company bridge - 48 bay with LRS bridge - 42m gap (big gap)
  
  However due to reduction of manpower and the new requirements to build more bridges at a much reduced time, newer products need to introduced. The current replacement are:
  short gap - STB (Maded locally) up to MLC30 or MLC60 (in pairs configuration)
  medium gap - extended STB (MLC30) or Leguan VLB (MLC70)(German)
  big gap - Donnier Folding bridge MLC80(German)
  One significant advantage is most of these require only a section of man to build in less than 30mins.
