If cost of euthanasia is cheaper in JB, then even those wanting to die may be asked to cross the border.

that's what ppl do, those wanting to do travel to countries that have no restrictions on that practise
Khaw mentioned that as an alternative means for financially handicapped Singaporeans to send their parents.
heck they may as well ask us to set up home across the Causeway
However, I do not understand why they're not subsidising the cost here.

those who joined JB golf clubs have regretted. better to be walk-in guests, you pay less than 100 RM for a round of golf, plus buggy plug breakfast. as members you pay monthly subscription, whether you play or not.
those who bought apartments or houses in malaysia, especially those in JB, have also regretted. if the properties were bought according to what were promosed in the brochure, you won't find tenants to stay. if you stay there, you better don't leave for holiday, for the immigrants would come into your house and live there, or take away your furnitures. go there as and when you want, pay for hotels, can affords hyatt or pan pacific.
you can really stretch your money as long as you want. you can also go to malacca, KL,...so your money is stretched as far as you want.
Do allow me to offer a non-political insight to this issue.
Is it much more economically wise to use state land, earn millions from it and then lease cheap land from neighbouring countries to house our aged citizens whom had slogged hard for us all?
The aged had suffered enough, and must not be used as political pawns for governance domination. To insist that they remain in Spore would be to cramp them into tiny boxes in the sky and face the fast paced of life here. No politics please, no matter how well meaning.
They deserve to retire in more comfortable surroundings - waterfalls, mountains, large open spaces and reflect back on their hard work they had done for us all. All these, Singapore of limited land, does not have.
And it costs us little if we manage our resources carefully, plan for their security as well as for relatives travelling there.
I apologise sincerly first if i had offended anyone. This post is not politically motivated, but only out of concern for our treasured old folks whom may lacked the voice to speak out and had only given their best to us.

So you want to die in Johor when you are old?
Young live as a slave of Lee Kuan Yew in Singapore; old go and die in Johor?
Might as well go and migrant to Johor now and tell Lee Kuan Yew to fuck off.
And why the fuck isn't Lee Kuan Yew in Johor?
He is 85 years old and in bad health.

Uncle Poh, it's not where you die that matters. It is where your heart lays when you die that matters.
It is where your heart lays when you die that matters.
So why send people to Johor when their heart is not there?
Other people young go foreign countries make money, old retire in home country.
PAP regime tell us old go and die in foreign country.
Really unique this PAP regime.
Actually I don't mind send Lee Kuan Yew to die in some foreign state.
Put me in power and i will create a gulag in Johore (pending approval from Malaysian authorities) and make the PAP dogs make cheap handbags and fake football jerseys for the rest of their lives as punishment for plundering Singapore.
Or better yet, make a big game reserve with surrounding electric fence and set them loose so Singaporeans can go there and hunt PAP dogs for amusement, and oh you can embalm their heads and mount them on your walls as a trophy. (Limited to 4 PAP clowns per person)
(I better stop watching Hostel)
They should make an aracde game where people can go slap the face of Lee Kuan Yew.
They made one in Taiwan on Chen Shui Bian I think.
Vent all our hatred, frustration and resentment against PAP regime.
You know, your kind will win in the short term. Loud, vocal stubborn and vengefulvehemence determination to get your way. Go right ahead, pack them into tiny little boxes. Make their relatives pay thru the teeth. Let the old folks enjoy the hectic competitive pace of life here.
Generations later will know who are the cruel ones here.

So you are saying its better to bump our old generation into some halfway home over the water just because the way of life here is getting expensive and hectic?
I see irony of it: The post-war generation sweat like fuck to create Singapore as it is and when they get old, we deny them the right to grow old and die in the place they create from nothing. So when they die, we bury/cremate them overseas cause its cheaper?
Fecking PAP leaders have lost their moral compass. To them everything is money. WTF we have so much sovereign wealth funds and reserves if we are not gonna spend a little bit? Wait till Armageddon to pass out caviar and Cuban cigars to all of us to celebrate? Or line their own pockets with ill-gotten gains?

Who's saying they will be buried on foriegn soil??? Who's saying they are bumped or forced to go stay on foriegn soil??? Where is the law that states that ALL old folks get lost and not wanted?
Aren't you and the minority vengeful vocal group here and elsewhere politically aggravating over nothing, using old folks to venge your political frustrations, instead of seeking a meaningful discussion that will benefit our aged?
Have it you and your kind's way. I'm outta here. I rather serve the people than be a pawn in someone's political ploy. Whomever rules, i still have to pay taxes anyway.
maybe we shall put LKY inside first
I'd still stick with it, they built Singapore to what it is today, and they deserve a breathing space in Singapore! Yes for us, we might now think that I'd rather go overseas to stay than being horrified in Singapore in the future years when we're old and all. However, as we grow older, we will naturally want to settle down in somewhere we got used to, where we can indefinately call home - which is usually the place where we were borned. Can we have sympathy and empathy for them now since when they're old? ... Respect is what they deserves from us, at least these are what the younger generation could do for them.

Why don't you go to Johor now?
No need to wait until old.

xtreyier is good example. Scary that PAP regime produced this type of younger generation.
Really despise Lee Kuan Yew and his PAP fucking regime.
Money face bastards, in their minds there is only money money and more money.
Everyday think about money but still lose so much money in Temasek, odd also.

Putting our old folks in Johore beneficial to our old folks? Have you seen the crime rate there? And i do pay taxes. That is the reason why i raise my discontent of the ruling party on a public internet forum rather than getting my arse chucked into jail for inciting a riot of 5 or more ppl (or even less) for waving placards near Parliament House.
