Bought Anniyan Dvd today @ mustafa.Orginal version again. Not that old show, the dvds are still available. Very good show, not the same storyline though but has the ooph. The graphic scenes are violent and the action parts are thrilling. overall entertaining 9/10. Highly recommended.
Shankar is one talented director i must agree.

youtbe cannot beat my 46 inch plasma and 5.1 HT speakers. Indeed yesterday i was watching this show , the picture and sounds were good. Its true, good gothic and dark visuals for a tamil movie inspired by THE Crow and Spawn Comics characters.

there are 2 "normal" movies directed by shankar if u wan to check them out. Does not have spectacular storylines like Indian, Mudhalvan or Anniyan.
Jeans (1998)
Jeans is a 1998 romantic tamil language film directed by S.Shankar. The film stars the former Miss world Aishwarya Rai and the 90s indian heartrob Prashant in lead roles The music for the film is composed by AR Rahman. The story follows the story of a girl who pretends to be two different people to woo a pair of twins with disastrous consequences. The 1st indian film with scenes shot with the 7 wonders of the world as backdrops. The film was a box office failure in India but well known for its soundtrack which won the national award for best music in that year. The film was nominated by India as its entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Academy Awards in 1998

Boys' is the story of five boys and a girl from different families They are youthful, vibrant, careless violating all conventions and In the process, they discover their hidden talents. The film was a box office failure in India but did reasobably well overseas.

can get. But it was a big flop in India but was a hit in foreign countries like singapore, malaysia and US because of Aishwarya Rai and AR Rahman's music. Saviour of the film. It does contain some spectacular scenes (around the world) songs and music..
Boys was a big big flop of shankar movie for kids and teens. No storyline and basically plays like a tv sitcom or serial. A big embarassment in Shankar's directing career.
