How many opposition MPs do you wish to see in Parliament to counter the rubbish policies of PAP regime?
We now have 2 elected opposition MPs vs 80 PAP MPs.
2 cannot fight 80.
So how many opposition MPs do you think is necessary to balance the PAP political dominance?
yes, it is important to "try" to have a balance in parliment but please don't ask me to put dogs there?
rather vote for a dog than PAP means i have to put my japanese spitz into contention for the next GE? also, unless the opposition can put someone worth "considering" in contention with Mr. Teo at my area, if not... i think i run for election myself then... but of course i'll aligned myself with Pay & Pay since they will pay for my election fees...
I cant believe a hypothetical election is stirring up so much debate.
But what I can say is that the basis of democracy is - should the PAP fail to deliver on it's goods, eventually there would be an adequate sentiment within the electorate to bring greater opposition representation to Parliament.
If we fail to do so, and allow ourselves to be cajoled into voting for the establishment at such a time. Then I guess, we only got ourselves to blame when things start going awry.

and who's going to be in those 18 slots? suitable people aren't going to drop out from nowwhere you know. and no one's going to just put their lives in the hands of someone they don' even know/trust just because they want to show anger.
