Who truely sincerely supports PAP in this forum?
Or do you know anyone that passionately supports PAP?
They respect PAP leaders, they praise PAP policies, they deeply sincerely support the rule of PAP.
Not out of fear, repression or "no choice" etc, but truely deeply sincerely.

Nobody is supporting nobody, we should be neutral about all these, whoever can show a better credentials, better solutions, ideas and implementation of policies, we will support it.
PAP is one party, so are all the oppositions, as the chinese said "no fish, shrimp also can" PAP can be the shrimp, but the oppositions are worst or nothing better than the shrimp, perhap they are algae, so given the choice, PAP is the better choice, again, we are not talking about taking side just for the sake of pitifulness and emotion affection of those opposition strugglers, non are we talking about supporting PAP all the way. The true is, what choice do we have, better to stay relevant and accept what is given now as there is no opposition capable of producing a blueprint for our nation progress and success. And i will like to add on that maybe if oppositions were the ruling party, i might not hv the luxury of posting in the comfort of my home with a roof on top and 3 meals well serve with a job in hand.

I certainly don't praise their policies.
But I still respect their ministers. Just as I respect Mr Chiam See Tong and Mr Low Thia Khiang for their work towards making Singapore a better country.
It's foolish and narrow-minded to throw yourself behind only one political faction. I supported the PAP's policies towards inviting foreigners, even though I'd think that it could have been better regulated. I was repulsed by the PAP 'show of solidarity' when multiple PAP MPs took on Mr Low when he questioned the effectiveness of the rescue package.
Sure, I have to admit that PAP's governance has been pretty authoritarian for quite a while. But this is kind of like Morton's Fork: I'd vote for the lesser of two evils. Because right now, I don't have much faith in the Opposition's ability to govern Singapore effectively. And personally, I feel that the Opposition, if they manage to win the majority vote in the next election, would still end up imitating much of PAP's current policies.
I don't actually care whether it's a PAP government or a WP government or a SDP government. As long as their policies make sense, I'm all for them.
So you could say that right now, I'm a sincere supporter of the PAP. Not because I agree with the need for multi-million-dollar salaries for ministers or the way they conduct their diplomatic relations with other countries. But because at the present, the PAP's still the best party for Singapore.

I'm apolitical but if push comes to shove I'll lean more towards the oppo... Cos life really hasnt been that gd under LEEgime... No offence lah, my pockets' holes got bigger with every GE...

Because they have done everything they can to keep Singapore a virtual dictatorship, in no healthy democracy does the same party rule continuously for 50 years. Meanwhile they might have helped the economy grow, but they also have limited the political rights of the citizens including the very basic human right of freedom of speech. They oppress the people, that's why so many do not like them.
