Australian Maths--No Longer Counts.
The decline of Australian mathematics is bad news for Australia’s future,
says Prof Peter Hall.''There is no respite on the horizon.
The number of mathematical scientists
working in Australian universities
is today about 65% of what it was
in the mid-1990s. The number of
Honours mathematics and statistics
graduates in the 5 years from 1997 to
2001 was three-quarters what it had
been in the previous 5 years.
There are now only three statistics
departments remaining in Australia.
Fifteen years ago there were at least
three times that number, when the
demand by employers for trained statisticians
was far less than at present.''
Have you ever heard of myob? mind your own business?
why so concern about oz math standard? Why do you think social studies is introduced in Singapore?
i cant understand why he is so concerned about Oz when he is in SG.
im surprised that the sgforums' owner didn't charge him extra $$$ for extra storage to hold his wall of texts.

lionnoisy admitted himself somewhere buried in his walls of text already that his maths is not good
instead of being concerned about Singapore's maths education because of that, he is concerned about Oz's maths

After reading most of his post i realised one thing. He is selective when it comes to answering question and also he try to zoom in into little details that is insignificant and always fails to look at the bigger picture.
I believe that he is the kind of person who see what he wants to see and listen to what he wants to hear. Filtering out those words/opion that is different from him. A man that is living in a world of his own?
