I am waiting for 2013 on the annuity they are forcing upon the people. Some time last month, the minister from the useless pee m's office already stated that buying from govt is cheaper. They are revealing their motive on money making. Shit!

Perhaps it is too early to tell if it is cheaper to buy from them. We will have to compare the policies as a whole. I wonder how they expect people who do odd jobs to buy annuity when they have difficulty to make ends meet. This group of people can only merely live one day at a time. Sigh! When can we ever have a ruling party who are human enough to think for such poor souls???? -

I also believe that the4 group of people who live hand to mouth cannot work forever, and without a long term plan (can be annuities, children, toto), they will end up dead.
There is no catch all policies that can cather to everyone. Guess the annuities details will cover everything bah...

You fail to recognise the fact that doing odd jobs mean they have no CPF contributions.I don't think it will cover everything. If it does, there is no profit for the ruling party and the insurance companies.

yup, not everyone have CPF. CPF was designed to give those people extra money. too bad CPF cannot cather to everyone.
I think it will cover everything. It is not about profits, but about taking care of the eldery who have worked hard for the nation all these years. But let's wait for the details to come out before debating that.

I don't have faith in the ruling party that they will include everything. Some of the policies they forced upon the people to buy does not include everything. The dependent policy cover only right up to over 50 only.They will not do anything that does not profit/benefit them.
