Whatever happened to the right to join and lead unions? A couple of the opposition fellas were forced out of the leadership of the union.
I guess they needed people who would toe the party line, be unafraid (or perhaps afraid) and tell the unionised workers that retrenchment must be done even when the organisation is posting profits.
Oh, BTW, I was looking at HDB and PSA... both got their stupid SQA from Spring Singapore. Wonder how much that stupid award is worth now? (writing this because my organisation is thinking of wasting a whole lot of money to get that award)

If Trade Unions are supposed to be apolitical, and its sole purpose is to serve all workers of Singapore, one can only wonder why the monopoly of Union management is only exclusive to only one party. Why are Union Members denied membership or disallowed Union Management Positions, if they are active members of Opposition Parties?
