If you used HDB's rebate system, ended up in financial diffculties, sell your flat.
You will have problems buying your next flat and have to resort to buying in the resale market. ![]()
HDB should have made the flats not tradeable, resale is always to HDB and keep the price affordable under $100k to $150k. ![]()
A HDB is for putting a roof over your head, it's not for investment purposes, so HDB should adopt a policy that does not promote resale which drives up prices. ![]()

In future, new features will be added in the new hdb flats like fends built around the area with security guards and access cards. It make it like a condo feel.

Actually, my POV is we are the tenants and HDB or Banks are the Owners of ' our ' flat...... Same go with cars in $inkapore, we are only the hirer, not the owner......

Agreed.
Another way is to work hard many years save enuff $ then go retire in Australia. Cheap bungalow housing 10x cheaper than SG prices.
