10 years of In camp reservist training. You think it worthwhile? Don't you think you are underpaid? Not cash, will be credited to your CPF. What if credited to your SA? LL lo!

$9,000 includes portion to the CPF.. Edusave funds....

NATIONAL Servicemen stand to get $9,000 each in a move to show that citizens come first amidst resentment towards foreigners who do not have to serve NS.
Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on Sunday night announced a 'National Service Recognition Award' at the National Day Rally.
The $9,000 for NSmen who are citizens only - and more for commanders - will go into their CPF and Post-Secondary Education Accounts in tranches.
Mr Lee said this is a recognition for the contributions and sacrifices of NSmen who give up two years full-time, and then return for reservist while trying to build a career and build a family.
Permanent Residents who have done their NS will get the payout only when they become citizens.
At any one time, there are 55,000 active servicemen - about 20,000 regulars and more than 30,000 full-time national servicemen.
There are about 300,000 operationally-ready National Servicemen.

This PAP simply doesn't care, refuses to care about public opinion.
They have to be voted out.
They simply do not care about the demoralising effects of importing vast aliens into this tiny island.

Who have accessed to the CPF monies? Temasek & GIC?? So is giving the money to us or giving to them through us?? hmmm..... To finance the new woodland railway checkpoint between SG & MY where Temasek will be holding 40% of this joint venture??... lol

OF coz take the 9k.
But it won't impact who I will vote for. They are 2 different matters altogether.
The govt should be grateful to the NSmen (hence this 9k as part of their recognition efforts) in the 1st place.

I just want to highlight one observation on the Past NDP speech vs Now..... Please feel free to comment on it....
In the past when LKY gave NDP speech, he highlighted challenges Singapore is heading or shared govt consideration ........and he gave solutions although his solutions may not be welcoming but at least Singaporean knows and understand govt position and what kind of problems our govt dealing with the understanding of govt consideration........For example --- issued such as unmarried profession in Singapore…or of graduate couple to produce educated population. Labor union workers worked with companies to substained jobs CPF etc. ---- these were NDP speeches in the 80s talking about future problems that we are facing now in the 90s and 2000s………
But these days our leader only talks about problems NOW. In general terms can’t tell the different between an election speech vs a country leadership direction....." paint a picture life is good...worked hard.....no choice but to accept tough solution whatever Govt proposed.....here is the money; take it. "
What happen to explaining to the people what “Difficulty and consideration our government Takes when making decision”......What about future challenges? Anybody in our government looking beyond 2030…?
Here is an example of government failure to communicate about admitting the failure to increase domestics population, while explaining the decision to implement the solution to open flood gate for growth? Instead….in a NDP speech we have to adjust; they have to adjust; its good for us. That is post policy speech….. Decisions were made before informing us!!!!
What about projection of Total population in Singapore ? Not a word. Housing is the effect resulted from population growth. How about Floods ? Not a word. How about future energy solutions? Not a word. What about our collective security Not a word. Our competitiveness ?
We only lived in 75 sq miles piece of land, what issued can the leader possibly eludes from talking to its people!!!! We are so disconnect to our current Government foresight and decision that we now resort to reactive speech guessing and cynical conclusion.......
Where is the REAL McCoy Speech…………!!!!!

Thought the 9k goes into our CPF and we "can" get it out after reaching 55? Or I'm wrong?
