North Korea is just playing punk.
They demand this and demand that, knowing that volatile events in the past have made ppl view their govt as unpredictable. By playing bluff, nations have to take them seriously.
They claim that since superpowers (US, China and Russia) have nuke weapons, why can't they? It amazes me how myopic their misguided leaders are.
1. self-proclaimed 'peaceful nations' do not test fire ballistic missiles over other nations deliberately. Wonder why koizumi is worried?
2. leaders of a nation that claims the international community is biased against them do not unilaterally expell UN nuclear watchdogs without prior notice to the UN.
3. N Korea has shown time and again that they do not honour agreements that are mutually signed and exchanged. They unilaterally removed themselves from the food for disarmament treaty and blatantly threatened war with the US and the south if their 'sovereignity was impeached'.
4. blatantly sell weapons (possible chemical and biological types) on the black market
5. violates the 35th parallel neutral zone time and again with absolutely no regard to the consequences.
Which government steers his people on the brink of suicide? Which improvished nation would rather feed their soldiers than their citizens? Does anyone for one moment think that the food supplies from the south and the UN land in the hands of the people? Which nation is constantly paranoid that an invasion of its shores is always around the corner?
