You may not believe it that I have witnessed a spectacular sight watching Mir Space station splashing down to earth at around 8.10pm Singapore time on Saturday, 17th of March,2001 near Bishan Park bridge entrance. It might be just a co-incidence to have witness that rare spectacular sight for about 45 seconds diagonally across the skyline. The direction is around North-West towards South East,ie the direction South of South China Sea. It was glowing like a big star moving at least 10 times faster than a normal plane. It's visible to the naked eyes! Most believe that that was a falling star but the timing is definately that of the MIR space station as the glow is fantastic and it disappeared into the partially reflected Singapore Skyline.
But I thought the Splashdown is on Friday? (23th)
