5 remarkable facts about National Day Rally 2014
So when 6.9 million?
To put into perspective, the min sum for CPF now at 161k is probably one month salary for the million dollar ministers.
The National Day Rally last night actually revealed most of the alignment of Jurong Region Line and a bit of the alignment of Cross Island Line.

NTU-Jurong Pier: NTU, Clean Tech Park, Jurong West Avenue 5, Jalan Bahar Heavy Vehicle Park, Jurong West Street 75, Street 64, Jurong Central Park, Jalan Boon Lay, Jurong Pier Road, Jalan Buroh.
Somehow, judging by how narrow the space is (eg. near PIE, be it if the line goes along Pioneer Primary School or Floravale Condominium, either way still quite narrow. actually st64 also don't really have a lot of space.), I think JRL can only be a LRT.
An elevated LRT, to be more exact, also because there seems to be no space to (divert the road, cables, etc. and) dig underground and use boring machines. Whereas for the part at Jurong East, I think it is definitely underground (first underground LRT, maybe?).
Furthermore, PM Lee said (from 08:05 - 08:25) that those industrial land near Boon Lay MRT, Taman Jurong and Pandan Reservoir will have "the leases...run out over the next twenty-thirty years, and as they run out, we can build housing there and integrate it into the lake district". Maybe Jurong Region Line will be an LRT that will serve these upcoming housing developments there (besides the upcoming housing developments at Tengah)
I think there's a very very very... very high chance that Jurong Region Line is a LRT.
Jurong become atas place.
