i want fixed MRLS system on top of all the HDB flats... 2*12 launchers per HDB flat... all MRLS system will come with auto rocket or artillery projectile sensor.... The second one of those rockets coming heading straight for singapore.... thoudsands and thoudsand of rockets will raze johor to the ground....Originally posted by YourFather:Speaking of MLRS systems, assuming we are getting the US MLRS system, should we get the HIMARS version or the normal version. I believe that getting the normal tracked version is better as the HIMARS air-mobility is not really needed, and it has only half the firepower of the normal version. What say you guys?
dont be ignorant, our neighbouring country dont possessed(so far till now and to the extent of analytical warfare prediction) any inter-continential ballistic weapons or missile. if what you meant is a mortar or artillery, it will be laughable to said that it will decimate our singa instantaneously... asked whether i will die for my country as a patriot, my answer is no and anyway, what had inspired you to ponder on this question, huh? What is there to protect in singapore when there is nothing more worthy enough than our life?Originally posted by oppositionparty:If a war with neighbouring country occurs,
are you willing to die for your country? Do you believe that SAF has the abilities to win the war considering the fighter planes, warships and the soldiers that we have? If a missile is fired from the neighbouring country, do you think we have the capability to counter the missile before it reaches Singapore?
now now now guys, if the relevant and much anticipated infrastructures in this forum is going to surface in reality, i guess there will be more blunted price hikes and the government is going to raise seditions among fellow singaporean. speed is essential nowadays but in singa, we dont have the privilege to enjoy it... anyway whats the use of spending money on unessential things?Originally posted by Orcishwarrior:my personal opinion will be it is the best if both versions can be acquire. The track can provide advantages in homeland defence
by firing on advance enemy for the wheeled version which has only half the firepower it can be use as an integrated rapid deployment force
with the arm forces.Since in todays warfare speed is the decisive factor i will opt for HIMARS![]()
i gotta agreed with little more than ever... well at least for the former part of his comments... the americans movies especially large scale ones always like to brandish with european histories plus a zest of fictional twist to it... not only will it be more intriguing and at the same time invoked a sense of participation among the audience... u got carried away by the plot... one such people is revelationOriginally posted by LittleMan:Revelation,

don't believe too much about what you watched in BraveHeart. I personally loved that show and had watched it more than 20 times (on VCD) and I had also personally went to Scotland to know more about this man called William Wallace. I had also went to Stirling, the place where William Wallace won the war against the English (not the one you saw on movie !). I had read about him, talk to experts (Scottish doing history) about him and to my atonishment, he was not the man who was being portrayed in BraveHeart ! Quite disappointing ....

My prediction is in the following order:Originally posted by Viper52:IMO when 3 are eliminated from the RSAF's list for the RFP, the contenders should look like this:
- Rafale
- Typhoon
- F-15
Originally posted by CenturionMBT:Well, the Russians can hope and I do wish them good luck, but I just can't see RSAF getting Russian made planes. ST Aero is not big enuff to start making license copy SU-30. Unlike the South Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese who have pretty decent size aerospace companies to license build fighter aircraft, Singapore cannot risk buying into an fighter type with questionable and inconsistent spare parts supply as shown by the Russians till now. Just look at the air forces of the Indian and the Malaysians, I think we need to learn from their experience and not get entice by the seemingly cheap fighters and end up with big headaches.

MOSCOW - Singapore defense officials have told Russia's arms export agency Rosoboronexport that they expect the Sukhoi Su-30 fighter-bomber will make it to the short list of three aircraft to be considered in the current tender to replace the Singapore Air Force's aging fleet of US-made A-4 Skyhawks.
