I'll take the job, since any job will give one valuable experience, but if the pay is so far below current average wage, I'll most probably have an eye out on looking for other jobs.
Unless I'm really happy in the job plus with a prospect for advancement in the future, then I will stay on
no actually i meant the pay cannot be less than $1000, provided i am not a major contributor of the family income.Originally posted by winky:no.... different not too much... 200-300 still can accept.... one thousand, cannot accept.
Why not try joining charity groups ?Originally posted by MooKu:How many graduates will not mind to accept a job that pays them lower than the average starting salary for all graduates in an area of study? Lower as in, not too low. Say, if Graduate A took a degree in Z in university, and the average starting pay for those holding the degree is $2500, how many would be prepared to accept the job but at a price of a lower pay, perhaps at $1500?

It is a highly employable sector where MOM statistics fails to show...or if they ever show any thing, like real.

Maybe its time for the next incoming-PM to draft a book about "From the 1st World to the 3rd one"[/color][/b]
Tell you honestly, if today's materialistic world do give a damn about the needies and less-fortunate, we won't be seeing today's human happiness being measured in terms of $$$ or Cents.Originally posted by MooKu:something should really be done to reward our kindly volunteers and social workers. just dun geddit why are they working so hard for the benefit of the needy and yet they get back so little in return even though they might not even expect anything back?
And upon the day that you become the major contributor of family income, you will come to realize that upon ( touch wood ) situations whereby you need a job to feed your family and that the salary of job offer that you have on hand is $1000/= less than the prevailing market rate, you will still have no choice but to accept the job to feed the hungury mouths back home.Originally posted by MooKu:no actually i meant the pay cannot be less than $1000, provided i am not a major contributor of the family income.
